Life according to my iPhone

Happiest Christmas Eve my dears!
Things have been crazy busy, and by busy I mean relaxing and enjoying every moment of my break with family, friends and wine.
Here's a quick glimpse of the past 2 weeks:

Here's a question for ya...

The past few weeks family (and Hunt) keep asking me what I want for Christmas, so here's the real question: How do you say, "I'd really love a new weave!" without it sounding so.. well, not classy, or normal??

If ya come up with an answer- feel free to pass that along!

Happy Five days to Christmas Cuties!

ALMOST free

Remember when I said I was going to take study breaks and keep up with this little blog o'mine. Well, I didn't. BUT moral of the story is that come 3pm today I am done. FREE. For 3 and a half fabulous weeks.

That being said, check back tomorrow. I'll make it up to ya!

And three pictures that have absolutely nothing to do with this post:

December, I've got a bone to pick withya.

Dear December in Florida,

I've had just about enough of your 70 degree weather. You're making it mighty hard for me to embrace my winter clothes that have been begging to come out (they're all like, "Please let me see the light of day, I can't stand to be next to this turtle neck from 1995 any longer.")

Some of you might be thinking, "You're so lucky, that's the perfect weather." I'm hear to tell you that, well yes, you're right but I'm ready for it to hit 50 so I can at least put on my leather jacket without feeling like a 60 year old, menopausal woman. So until then, this is the best I got for ya:

Hey little rat tail, get outa my picture.

Hey friends, meet my back patio. Patio, meet my friends.

Once again, happy one day til' Friday!

Pretending it's winter.

Hey dolls,
This is going to be short and sweet, I'm about to head to the library for the day (or rest of my life..).

Things that have made me smile already today:

- The fact that Monday's over (yeah, I said it)
- A wet puppy nose in my face letting me know it's time to wake up
- My mom being back from New Jersey
- Remembering how absolutely absurd Teen Mom was last night (yeah, I watch it- don't mock it til' you try it ya'll)
- Having my sister send me links to things like this one: Little Black Book
- The weather being under 78 degrees, so I can at least pretend it's cold out and throw on scarf

On a more serious note: Food. mmm.
Okay, so here's my dad's famous shrimp on the grill.
WARNING: These are delicious and SO easy. Throw them on a salad, over a bed of rice, serve with fish, whatever you want people, just try them. Seriously.

Wash them off. Put them in a bowl. Lightly drizzle olive oil.
Mix them up so they are very lightly coated with the oil.

Sprinkle some garlic salt, and pepper in the mix.
Use your hands to coat them again.

Throw those bad boys on the grill.
We put them on a grate on the grill so they don't fall through. (A foil boat works too!)
About 2 minutes a side.
THEN...

BAM!

I'll talk about that mouth watering fish later... Just try and take that all in.

Happy day after Monday, cuties!

Monday, I really really don't like you. At all.

Is it really Monday already? Why does this always seem to happen, one day it's Friday then BAM I blink and there Monday is again, ready to attack with a 7am alarm and a wet puppy nose right in my face (not that the latter part isn't sweet). It's time to start studying my life away for finals, but I decided that keeping up with my blog would be used as a break- I know, you can all exhale now (Just joshin' with ya).

After our delish dinner on Friday night we had Chilean Sea Bass and grilled shrimp on Saturday that I will post later this week because it truly was to-die-for (I'm super serious on this one gang). Yesterday Hunter and I went to lunch with my brother and sister in law, well it was suppose to be brunch but one thing led to another and the hunger took over, and well, I ordered a burger (woops). We went to Datz and I think I fell in love with this place. I wish I took more pictures of the inside because it was presh (don't worry, I'll be back).

Menu, in the form of a newspaper.

My brother and Erica- look at those little cuties!

This dude I picked up this weekend.. (that's a joke, people)

Their homemade chips, or as I like to describe them as: "magic in my mouth"

I would like everyone to take a moment to soak this one in. PAUSE. Okay, great- fried Macaroni and Cheese balls with jalapeno and bacon bits inside served with a side of chipotle sauce (My healthy eating begins today...)

After lunch, the BB gun shooting was broken out. Truth be told, guys never actually grow up.

Little Motley waiting patiently for his turn to play.

I hope everyone has an amazing week, even though this devilish day, "Monday" forced its way back into our lives again. sigh.

Celebrate

I'll take any excuse to celebrate especially when it's celebrating my first semester of clinic being over. It's so surreal that the first semester is already done, and I made it out alive (Yeah, it was touch and go there for a while). Last night my dad took Hunter and I out for dinner, and celebrate we did. We went to this small italian restaurant and OH MY- it was pretty darn delicious.

Charming little place, right?

Of course the night ended with sambuca and the guys shootin' some hoops.

Surprise bottle of champagne to celebrate? He's a keeper.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Friday night!
